Meditation is to the brain as Dahn-jon breathing is to the body. Just as Dahn-jon breathing calms the mind, meditation calm the body. Meditation means quieting the mind in order to more clearly see one’s self and it is a phenomenon that occurs naturally as our consciousness awakens. HT meditation focuses on being here now, which means being fully present in this moment. Meditation further entails separating ourselves from that. You can observe yourself and say “This is not me. This is mine. I created this, but I am not this. I am the creator of it and the watcher of it instead of what is being watched.”

Knowing who really are is the aim and result of HT meditation, which we can say is the brain’s experience of “breathing deeply.” I suggest that becoming one with the unconscious in an awakened state is a form of enlightenment. We are able to see things as they really are, without the filter of thoughts or ideas, which is called “detached watching.” Combination of Dahn-jon breathing and Ji-gam practice helps us reach a state of relaxed concentration very fast, which is creating a peaceful and clear consciousness of being here and now.
